Course Project

Part of the class requirements is to do a computer project. These projects can be done individually or in groups and should require about 80 hours per person in total. Prior project approval, project report, and brief class-room presentation is required. We will also organize a peer review process for the projects.

Suggested Topics

We are suggesting some possible topics. These can be a starting point for you. You can modify them, or you can come up with completely new topics. You can also check journals and conference proceedings for ideas, e.g., IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Circuits ans Systems for Video Technology, Proc. IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), Proc. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP), and Proc. Data Compression Conference (DCC). You may use IEEE Xplore
