Itamar Terem is a first year PhD student at the department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. His main field of research is bio-imaging and in particular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). He is the developer of a new MRI brain technique called amplified MRI (aMRI), which enables the visualization of brain tissue motion induced by blood flow and CSF motion. In addition, he explores the potential of increasing the speed, accuracy, and invasiveness of diagnosis, particularly as they relate to skin cancer, through the development of virtual biopsy using OCT imaging and artificial intelligence (AI).
